Adriano Venditti, MD, è Professore Ordinario di Ematologia presso il Dipartimento di Biomedicina e Prevenzione dell'Università ‘Tor Vergata’ di Roma, Italia. È anche Direttore dell'Unità di Ematologia e Trapianto di Cellule Staminali.
Formazione ed Esperienza Accademica
Dopo aver conseguito la laurea in medicina presso l'Università la ‘Sapienza’ di Roma, il Prof. Venditti ha ottenuto la specializzazione in Ematologia presso l'Università ‘Tor Vergata’ di Roma. Successivamente ha completato due fellowship nel Regno Unito, come research fellow presso il Department of Immunology, Royal Free Hospital, Londra, e come visiting fellow presso il Department of Haematology and Cytogenetics, Royal Marsden Hospital, Londra.

Attività e Affiliazioni
Il Prof. Venditti è il chairman dell’“Acute Leukemia Working Party” del Gruppo Italiano Malattie Ematologiche dell’Adulto (GIMEMA). In October 2023, he was also appointed as chairman of the EORTC-Leukemia Group for the tenure 2024-2027. He is a member of the European LeukemiaNet minimal residual disease (MRD) work package (ELN-David). Within the ELN, he is also coordinating a panel of experts working on the definition of “fitness.
He is the coordinator or member of the “writing committee” of several GIMEMA and EORTC clinical trials on AML. Prof. Venditti is also a member of the “Harmony MRD Steering Committee”; the committee was established to manage the project entitled “the role of measurable residual disease as surrogate marker for survival in AML: an individual patient-level correlation”. Within the Italian Society of Hematology, he is the coordinator of the panel working on the Italian AML Guidelines writing.
